It was beautiful.
The air was 60. The sun was shining. The saturated colors of the leaves
was enough to calm all fears.
Today, Devon and I enjoyed our day off from work.
(thank you military men and women)
We went on a gorgeous run along the waters of Alexandria.
Dying from broken lungs and pathetic stamina
- sure -
but alas - we accomplished a 30 minute exercise routine
and felt great (again minus the collapsed lung, and ear pains, and side cramps)
With our "fit" selves we road into Old Town and stepped into a few stores
Finished a few more shopping errands.
Ate lunch at whole foods, including the free samples.
As Devon would say it, picked up groceries at the market.
Got gas, came home and CLEANED.
The kitchen is wonderful, the bathroom is BEAUTIFUL
I made a smoothie for dinner. perfection in a glass.
Grey's Anatomy is awaiting my 9 o'clock time slot.
I am finishing laundry and listening to Norah Jones.
Love my life.
(Let's choose to be the flower that soaks up the sun)After cleaning the kitchen and the bathroom, her only response was "so who decided to put the drying rack under the sink." In that moment I was baffled. I want to live with a man. He would never care about that. I walk away because - we all know, in reality - she doesn't want to hear my response. People say that lets them win. To me, who likes winning unhappiness?
I don't need it.
today was a beautiful day.
thank you Devon LaMay
