"You never know"

that phrase alone has motivated enough stupidity of the entire human race

than the moth that never learns to ignore the light

and we supposedly have brains

The thing is, we know enough to make an educated guess,

but sometimes we like to live on the idea of chance.

It's the mystery and the spontaneity that captivates most of us.

Or we're simply just bored.

To some I am just a freak. Freaks are different.

I don't drink alcohol, I'm waiting until I'm married for sex.

I want to settle down and have kids... one day.

I don't cuss and I like to talk about philosophy and the simplicities of life.

I look at the nutrition labels of everything I buy at the grocery store

and I take 5 years to make decisions.

I hold back only when it's important to practice self control

and I put up with more than I should.

I sat on the beach trying to act like I didn't see him coming.

I tried to be polite and humor the men who were just here for vacation.

I took out my ear phones and gave my number to another.

I let a guy take me to lunch.

I drove to meet one guy's entire family

because

"why not. you never know"

One day, he'll be just about your size

and one day, we'll hit it off.

for more than just, well, the superficial needs of man.
