30 seconds up, 30 seconds down

I ride in this elevator every day. Technically there are six, but basically I ride in this elevator every day. down and up.

Here are some things about elevators:

1. When you're late to work you hate when people hop on into your ride and push every number before your floor.

2. We're all just antsy waiting to get off. Getting on an elevator is like pausing your life for 30 seconds. Ding!

3. Pushing the door close button does not get you going any faster. Myth busters disproved that

4. You hate the awkward silence. The worst is when there is just one other person. Who's going to speak up first? Do you have to continue the conversation when you get off the elevator and walk to the parking garage? I always make it a goal to say have a good day, but only if it's one other person who is still going up. Women have it easy, we just have to compliment each other on our attire and we're set. Easy in. Guys - good luck not coming off as a creeper. The best conversation? weather.

5. I always wonder if this will be the time it gets stuck.

6. I also, always feel like a complete tower, especially if I'm wearing heels. Keeps me away from the BO though, and for that I could not be happier.

7. My favorite thing is when I reach the top and the hallway is warm. Hello 2020.

and that's my simple experience with elevators. So much to think about in my 30 seconds up and 30 seconds down.
