Two women in pjs about... 6 o'clock in the evening yelling at their kids to come down the apartment stairs. Both children were under the age of six and also in pjs. Although the girl had rather fancy princess pajamas. The kicker? Both women were pathetically smoking in their pjs of the night. For a second I was grateful I was not them. Overweight, greasy hair, yelling at my kids with my cigarette in pjs. But then I realized to each his own. And they are loved. I just have a different path in this life and THAT is what I'm grateful for. I have a different way of thinking from others and THAT is something to get on my knees for. But then I wondered about the children... today they were just playing with sticks and a princess crown. What about tomorrow...
Also, Christian cried today during tutoring. He was doing so well in liking me - until today - but we have to work with the children and not take them away from play time and then make them finish reading and spelling (which they detest) before they can eat dinner. bad mom. bad. I can't force a crying child to spell splendid on an empty stomach.
Parenting... I'll be reading every single book when my time comes.
