obama makes me realize why I don't put my trust in man.

Of course it's easier to stay healthy, but at some point you will visit a doctor. But now what does that mean for the doctors and the patients?!

You should read about it before you gather an opinion (shocker). Most people fear change and struggle with sharp adjustment, so we immediately get tense (especially us republicans). We all know there is a need for change, but how much and what kind is the question.

and the thing is. it's complex. and opinions vary. not one place has all the truth. and no one has complete understanding.

Reform only costs $940 billion over the next 10 years. awesome. Anyone remember that sad part in homeward bound where the dog is trying to get out of the mud hole, but keeps sliding back down? Apparently though, some smart guy has decided that the deficit will shrink by $1.2 trillion in the second 10 years, $130 billion in the first ten. I wish we got the research on those numbers. Thank you rich people for giving up your money to the poor to fund this program. Like Robin Hood said - very necessary. Just stay away from the ghetto so it doesn't get to you.

We have 32 million currently uninsured that can now "see a doctor." And you thought the lines were already long... Does the government pick the lucky 32 million and send their insurance company a check? Aren't there tons of different plans? Isn't that one of the most confusing parts of health care?

In 2014, everyone must purchase health insurance or face a $695 annual fine. There are some exceptions for low-income people. Awesome. Thank goodness for the age of 26! O wait, that's the year I turn 26. Of course.

Ode to the small businessman who cannot pay the bills for their uninsured, but who are now forced to. Maybe we'll just pay the penalty? That would be $2k for each. I definitely needed an employer to have one more hesitation in adding me to their team.

I do commend the 10% tanning tax. Say no to the orange glow.

I realize the insurance business seems sketchy, which is why I have avoided that field of work in all aspects. So I'm like the rest of you that run from insurance companies in fear that they just want to scam us. And I think it's good that insurance companies aren't allowed to drop citizens and ignore those who really need it.

And props to a President who actually got this bill signed when so many people hated it and refuted it. It's not easy to be bold against rationality.

The sad thing is, no one really knows all of the effects until they start revealing themselves in the years to come. Doctors need incentives, not all people who receive handouts will stop abusing the system. Who will actually pay for the pages after pages of reform? Dear children...I'm so sorry. The end of the world is coming soon. Don't worry.

And what about malpractice insurance? Is it only going to get worse?

What happens to those who already have it? Will our care quality decrease? Whose to say...

Will anyone go into primary care? I've been hearing primary care is already under paid.

I think most people just fear the inefficiency of the government. And people don't like throwing their dollars on the ground. And the majority of us really just don't know.

Personally, I would like to see less hand outs and more proof of real investment. As in, people becoming educated about how to better take care of themselves. SINCE WHEN IS OBESITY A DISEASE. I'm sorry, but I do hate on fat people. And people that keep waiting around for hand outs. PUT THE CRACK DOWN.
