I like the smell of new things...

Look at this cute kitchen I found. Not having my own space makes me really want my own space. I just got really excited to get older. I think I'm pretty good at making anything work; it's what kills the stress... knowing I can make things work (notice I didn't say people). So even the idea of a little studio apartment gets my body jitters going. All the experimental cooking... haha :-)

I'm almost obsessed with pictures and looking for ideas. I realized I probably struggle most with things that aren't visual because I don't read. I mean I can, but a lot of times I just skip straight to how something could look. Yes I was a picture book kid. I hardly read directions. Slightly stubborn, but over the years I've realized we were taught to depend too much on other people and stand less on our own common sense. We then become too frightened to step out on our own, without the textbook and instruction manual to hide behind. My current state...and I just got excited to conquer fears. So I enjoy stepping back and observing. I like to get a general feel and I move when it feels right. So hopefully I can finish up school and move to the city and get a cute apartment with a cute little dog. Won't that be just adorable? You're right. It might be useful to have someone else there... but what can I do about that.

Mostly empowered by this quote ...

"I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best. "
-Marilyn Monroe

So I'm not worried about doing my own thing. I might not get my cute apartment right away, but in time I will... because in life, we get what we're willing to fight for: and life isn't just about apartments.
